Blurbed is operated by Mathew Clayton in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at mathewclayton@gmail.com.

Blurbed is open to authors who have a book published, or under contract to be published, by a publishing house, and to publishers acting on behalf of such authors. Self-published books are not currently eligible. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for anything that happens under your account. Please let us know promptly if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

You retain all copyright and other rights in the manuscripts, cover images, bio and other content you upload ("Your Content").

By uploading Your Content you grant Blurbed a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit and display Your Content to other signed-in Blurbed users, solely for the purpose of operating the platform. This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except where we are required to retain it for a limited period in backups.

You confirm that you have the rights necessary to grant this licence and that Your Content does not infringe anyone else's rights or break the law.

When you write an endorsement for another author's book on Blurbed, you grant that author a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free licence to reproduce your endorsement in connection with the book (for example on the book's cover, marketing materials or online listings), with attribution to you.

You agree not to:

• upload content you do not have the right to upload;
• download or redistribute another author's manuscript outside the platform;
• attempt to break, probe or overload the site;
• use Blurbed to harass, defame or harm others;
• scrape or bulk-download data from the site.

We may suspend or delete accounts and remove content that we reasonably believe breaches these terms. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

Blurbed is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied warranties. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under UK law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill or data. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of Blurbed is limited to £100.

We may update the service and these terms from time to time. Where changes are material we will notify you by email or in-app. Continued use of Blurbed after changes take effect means you accept them.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
